this is the painting I did with Flora Bowley in her online class.  I had a lot of fun with it and just kept adding layers until I was finished I was happy with it.
I call this Hidden Meanings because there is a lot of things I put in there that meant something to me and got partly or completely covered up with more layers of paint....

I was doing grunge pages yesterday, in my journal and decided to stencil on some leaves.  I sometimes save the negative spaces from die cuts on my big shot so this is a piece I was going to stencil; however, when I laid the stencil down on the page I really liked the colours it showed in the leaves. Glued it down on the page. I can always make another stencil...lol.....

Today I am ready to do the band of the canvas I am working on and it is called finished.  My hubby likes it and told me to get it framed!! He is my biggest critic and I count on him for his honesty in my work. So it will go up on here probably tomorrow.  I did the Flora Bowley online course and quite liked it...it gave me some new "free" ideas and I felt comfortable with what I was doing since her art is the type of art I like to do.  It was a lot of fun and I would let it sit for days until I saw something else I wanted to do...ongoing process but well worth it...I am itching already to start another....
Did this card yesterday.  I think it is one of my favourites of all times....I just let "her" (you know who I am talking about) take over and off she went.....Of course I love my birds.........this card is for a girlfriend's B'day.

My beautiful girls.  My daughter and granddaughter.  This is at Nicole's Grad. Mass last week.  She will be going to high school come fall.  Oh that song "Turn around and you're tiny, turn around and you're grown," that song applies here.... I miss my little Tomboy but I must admit, like her Mom before her she emerged in to a beautiful butterfly.  The time goes so fast...this picture makes me smile everytime I look at it (which is many times a day I might add)...
I am here once again.  I keep making up my mind to blog every day and the days slip past.  I will make a harder try at it this time.  I peruse so many blogs and they have so much to say on them; I do too until I go to blog...duh...

I have been cleaning and organizing my studio; getting rid of many things (mostly ceramic related) that I don't use anymore.
I am keeping a few of my favourite molds and small kiln, you know, "just in case."

I have been working on cards.  You can put me in front of a canvas, journal etc and in a short time off I go but for some reason I struggle with cards...I decide on something and my muse (stubborn she is) goes in another direction and I never know what I am going to end up with.  Now it is okay she does this with my art and I am quite used to it and so just let her go however cards are a little more precise and I expect her to let me lead...I guess that is not going to be the case.

Here are a few cards my "muse" decided to make....
