Journal pages for a swap I did.

My little rescue dog Pepito. Lived 8 years in a puppy mill crate. He has been our baby for 6 years now and slowly he has been learning to be a dog. He didn't know how to walk on a leash, play, go up or down stairs.  He would let you pat him or pick him up. Now he comes regularly for a pat from me his Mom.

Happy Easter Everyone,

I have really messed up my blogs lol...but that's me....I started out with Yesterday's Child blogspot (which was my business name) then I did BellBookandCandle and somehow got to Valerie and Her Days in the Studio and no matter which one I go in to it sends me to Valerie for posting....

I lost all my files when my drive decided enough was enough of me and my darling hubby is going to try and rescue my files for me at some point...but until then I did get some of my pics of my FB albums...thank goodness for FB....

Right now and it seems like forever I have been working on 3 journals for my granddaughter and her BFF's that play hockey together...Provincial Women's Hockey and will be all going to University next year....I am an avid camera junkie so of course I had all her games on the computer, yup you're correct.  I lost them all except for the ones I sent and made cds from and captured on FB...so many years gone!!! Files well they were important but not that important...pics are very important and I learned a valuable lesson here.....

I will be adding art and recipes on my blog....so here goes.....  to start off I will add a pic of my Gda in hockey....Lol  I am so darn proud of this girl!!!

I have been busy playing with my Gelli prints so thought I would share. My head is so full of ideas I can't get to my regular art....me bad for sur!!!
A couple pages i did and will add more to the green and yellow.
This white and blue one was a label stencil I made but when I used it on my plate it came out so pretty i will use it on a journal page...you can see it up above the green and yellow page.....
I like making my own washi tapes and these were made with tape and my designs...that was a lot of fun and want to make lots more cause I just can't help it....compulsive obsessive I guess lol.

Good Morning,

I thought I would share with you a recipe I am going to have today....it just sounded so yummy and refreshing.
Cucumber and Feta Salad
adapted from David Lebovitz

1 large English cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced
Kosher salt
8 oz feta cheese
1/4 cup olive oil
2-3 Tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 Tbsp water
Fresh ground pepper, to taste
1/2 red onion, peeled, finely diced
1 Tbsp chopped dill
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 Tbsp chopped mint

In a colander, mix the cucumber with a light sprinkle of salt.  Allow it to drain 30 minutes to an hour. Shake the colander and/or lightly squeeze the mixture a few times.

Crumble the feta into a medium-size bowl and mash it together with the olive oil, lemon juice, water, and a few twists of fresh ground pepper.

Add the cucumbers, onion, and herbs to the feta mixture and stir.  Taste and add additional salt, if desired.

NOTE:  This mixture may be served as a topping for Moroccan Spiced Chicken Skewers or served as a appetizer with crackers or with soft or toasted pita triangles.
