I have been busy playing with my Gelli prints so thought I would share. My head is so full of ideas I can't get to my regular art....me bad for sur!!!
A couple pages i did and will add more to the green and yellow.
This white and blue one was a label stencil I made but when I used it on my plate it came out so pretty i will use it on a journal page...you can see it up above the green and yellow page.....
I like making my own washi tapes and these were made with tape and my designs...that was a lot of fun and want to make lots more cause I just can't help it....compulsive obsessive I guess lol.

Good Morning,

I thought I would share with you a recipe I am going to have today....it just sounded so yummy and refreshing.
Cucumber and Feta Salad
adapted from David Lebovitz

1 large English cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced
Kosher salt
8 oz feta cheese
1/4 cup olive oil
2-3 Tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 Tbsp water
Fresh ground pepper, to taste
1/2 red onion, peeled, finely diced
1 Tbsp chopped dill
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 Tbsp chopped mint

In a colander, mix the cucumber with a light sprinkle of salt.  Allow it to drain 30 minutes to an hour. Shake the colander and/or lightly squeeze the mixture a few times.

Crumble the feta into a medium-size bowl and mash it together with the olive oil, lemon juice, water, and a few twists of fresh ground pepper.

Add the cucumbers, onion, and herbs to the feta mixture and stir.  Taste and add additional salt, if desired.

NOTE:  This mixture may be served as a topping for Moroccan Spiced Chicken Skewers or served as a appetizer with crackers or with soft or toasted pita triangles.

I didn't want to go out and buy a gelli plate so made one from fun foam and have been playing for hours....

These pages are from the wiccan journal I am making...

the journal was a 2009  Witche's Datebook...a planner and I save my planners and use them for journals...the last few years I have been doing mixed media in them each day as I keep my notes and dates....lots more to do on these pages but this is the start and I am having fun with them.

 Just a couple more

 Some of my Journal Pages

My cat Ms Cali Cat is deciding whether or not I need to add more to my canvas piece.

This is one of my favourite pieces I did...photo paper alcohol inks and stamps....

Here is another page I did. I painted the background black and used paints and coloured paints for the rest.

Here is a double spread in the Enchanted Garden colouring book....lol...fought doing a colour book but once I got in to it couldn't stop and now it has become a journal. Acrylic paints, coloured pencils, pens, and the right hand corner with the birds and flower pots is a napkin.  I love using napkins.

My beautiful granddaughter won three awards last week from high school...MVP for flag football, MVP for hockey and Best Athlete of the Year...the speech they said before giving her the award for Athlete of the Year brought tears to our eyes...she is an incredible young womyn and so proud she is my granddaughter!!

Well here I am again....going to try to keep this up once again....I have lots to say and show anyplace but put me on my blog and everything to say leaves my mind....sigh....we'll see what happens this time.
